Any legal entity carrying out commercial activity in the civil aeronautical sector and manufacturing products on board aircraft may be a candidate for membership in the association, if it meets the other eligibility conditions described in the SPACE™ association statutes.
Executive members
- Any civil aerospace or space company producing integrated parts that approves SPACE’™ services and is committed to developing, using, sharing and promoting SPACE’™ tools and methodologies can become an Executive Member.
- Staffing means at least one full-time or equivalent person per year provided by each Executive Member.
- The current Board of Directors is composed of senior executives from the association’s largest member companies.
- The Board of Directors elects from among its members a President who sets the guidelines for the association’s action in response to the wishes and concerns of the members.
Associated members
- Suppliers of aeronautical or space systems.
- Executive Members’ Supply Chain Industry Partners.
- Companies that wish to improve their industrial performance and that of their own Supply Chain.
- An exemption from annual contribution may be granted to any associate member. This eventuality is dealt with in the context of a specific decision taken by the executive committee.
Honorary members
Any professional aeronautical or space organization wishing to promote the development of SPACE™ activities can become an Honorary Member.

Airbus Defense and Space
Airbus Defence and Space is an operating division of the Airbus Group. It was created in January 2014, at the same time that EADS changed its name to Airbus Group. It comprises the former EADS divisions Astrium and Cassidian, plus the former Airbus SAS division Airbus Military.
